I have a query about the possible underhanded tactics of Apple, please read description for more details.......

I have an iPhone 3GS, and a 2nd generation iPod Touch. The 3GS is still quite decent, it can run most apps that the 4 can run, but my 2nd gen iPod does not run a lot of apps due to it's age.
Anyway, my son is playing with the iPod early on Friday morning, and it freezes, with no possible way of fixing it, apart from letting the battery run dry and recharging it again. So I go to the Apple website to see if others had similar problems, and lo and behold, what am I faced with when I visit their site? A big advert saying "THE DAY YOU'VE WAITED 364 DAYS FOR, THE APPLE ONE DAY SALE".
Now my question is this, did Apple install something in older devices (likely during an update) to ensure they break on the day they have their one day sale, in order to tempt people who are already contemplating an upgrade to get a new iDevice?

I do not question your suspicions, as I think on the same line as you, but in this case I am sure it's just a coincidence.

    • Truth be known...you got me thinking about it now too...But, bottom-line though, you still have the option of going to the store and getting the unit fixed.

      good-luck!
