If it takes 5 people 7 hours to wash a wall, how long will it take 4 people?

    It took 35 man hours for the 5 people to wash the wall. Divide 35 man hours by 4 people, and you get 8.75 hours.

    • wrong the rate that 5 people worked was 1.4hours each, so 4 people working the same rate would take 4*1.4= 5hours and 36 minutes

    • Wrong. Each of the five people worked for seven hours (as stated in the question).
