The best value in cameras today, and I mean the most you can get for your money is the Fujifilm Finepix S5200:

    -5.1 Mepixels
    -10x Optical Zoom
    -1.8 LCD
-A very fine integrated lens with a more than reliable technology (Real Photo).
    -High quality Audio/Video
-A wide range of automatic selections

    Price: $250 - $300

Before you start thinking that that is not cheap consider that a "decent" camera is around $200...now click the following link and let your jaw fall all the way to the floor when you compared this beauty with any $200 camera:

Finally, the Finepix S5200 has been selected as the best "value for your money" camera by virtually every customer report magazine in America.

Those additional $50 are more than justified.
    Hope this helped.

    • Nice, I'm useing some junky little 3.2 MP canon thing now, if I can get as good of photos as I do with somthing that cheap and out of date, my efforts should absolutely rock with this thing.
