The desktop at work has a wired internet connection, but since someone unplugged the ethernet cable, it no longer recognises any connection once plugged in. The modem itself is working (I am using it right now with my laptop), the desktop is the problem. Also, only managers have admin access, so I can only change some settings/run some programs etc. Any ideas?

Im sure they will - I work nights in a care home that has very little money, so thought any money I could save the unit would be a good thing.
