    • Exactly. The religious debates have always seemed strange and pointless to me

    • Think about it. You can chose to believe or not but if you're wrong you lose big if you're right then no loss to you.

    • @ "Think about it. You can chose to believe or not but if you're wrong you lose big if you're right then no loss to you."

pretending to believe would be lying and hypocrisy. If your (Christian?) morality tells you that is a good idea, I would call my (atheist) morality a better one.

Anyway which God are you proposing I should pretend to believe in ? Zeus ? YHVH ? Quatzcoatl ? Odin ?. There are thousands of gods, shouldnt you be worried you might be 'backing the wrong horse' ?

    • I never said who or what I believed in did I? You just assume so if you are unsure of your destiny or belief then some good reading may be in order. Good luck.

    • Good reading, indeed. I believe in wanting to pass my exam and am thus currently reading through 600 pages of Integrated Principles of Zoology.
I believe in facts, and that which exists in the read world, not merely in the minds of people

    • Many tangible things are only temporary. Those things that are not seen by the eyes of this world does not mean it does not exist. We can not be that naive to think we humans are the top of the intelligence chain.

    • Mytoes, stop trolling my question with these non-sequitur arguments. What does this nonsense have to do with my question?

    • Well at least MYTOES is giving a pretty accurate example of what your question is about. Pushy theists who try to turn everything into an occation for proselytyzing. The funny thing is that theistic cultures (like latin America's) usually consider such people just as clueless and undesirable as atheists do.

    • The idea is about judging each other. Believe or not, who cares. Obviously you care what Latins care about your beliefs. Be who you are where you are. I don't care if you have one god, ten gods or no god. It neither breaks my leg or picks my pocket. "Thomas Jefferson"
