Because they are. To be labeled organic, they must be. You may be confusing one of the American classifications of organic with organic. Products labeled Non-GMO are what you are referring to. Products labeled Organic contain both no genetically modified organisms and were grown without pesticides. "Natural" is a marketing term, just like "green", and virtually meaningless because there are no actual tests to verify it is natural.

    • They are NOT pesticide free. They just use ORGANIC pesticides.

I'm not confusing anything with anything else. I wrote exactly what I meant.

    • They MAY be using organic pesticides, or they may be using none. You're once again implying more than reality and contrary to the implications of your question. That and pesticides by standard definition are non-organic chemicals. Ask the USDA about organic certification.

    • So if they "MAY be using organic pesticides", then they are not pesticide free like you said previously. And I'd like to meet a grower who can afford to lose 99% of their crop to pests because they don't apply some form of pesticides. Because I haven't met one yet and I'm pretty sure none exist unless they're growing plants in a sterile bubble free of even the tiniest aphid or thrip.

If you think that I'm "implying more than reality and contrary to the implications of [my] question" then you obviously don't know what the words reality, contrary and implications mean because what you said doesn't make any sense.

"That and pesticides by standard definition are non-organic chemicals."

You do realize that at the beginning of your reply you wrote that growers may be using organic pesticides. Yet you ended your reply stating that pesticides are not organic. Hmm... That makes a lot of sense........ Some consistency, please.

    • What's amusing is you still haven't provided a USDA link to a certified organic pesticide. Is your idea of organic toxic sewage? Organic foods have significantly fewer pesticide residues", so my answer and related questions are accurate and, unlike yours, sourced.

    • Yes, my idea of organic is toxic sewage because that's so relevant to anything that's been said and because that makes oh so much sense.

I'm sorry, I thought you said organic means free of pesticides yet again, you turned around and said the exact opposite.

Please tell me how "Organic foods have significantly fewer pesticide residues"," if they are "pesticide free". Where, pray tell, are the pesticide residues coming from then? Oh right, thin air apparently.
