Do Pentecostal women really "Have" to wear long dresses and not cut their hair? Or is it something they choose on their own after contemplation of the Scriptures and time spent in a praying relationship with their God?

These restrictions on hair and dress form a part of their "bylaws" in their "articles of faith." They were simply carried over from the "holiness movement" without any further study or investigation. The "pentecostal movement" came out of the "holiness movement". Their so-called, "standards," are based upon tradition and not an accurate study and interpretation of the scripture passages relative to teaching "standards." Notice also the "bylaws" apply far more to women than to men. The purpose is to subjugate women in an old-fashioned manner, somewhat like Amish and other cults. If women do not comply with these rules, they are labeled "rebellious" and are shunned or judged as "back-slidden."
