Well, I'm high-functioning autistic, and I would say that this thing is simply just due to a lack of empathy. These kinds of kids enjoy doing it, because they haven't developed feelings for these animals.Autistic kids may seem kind of sociopathic, but they simply don't understand what they're doing is bad. It is definitely a myth that autistics have no empathy whatsoever though. What kind of animals specifically has that kid killed? Stepping on bugs is one thing (I used to enjoy that), but killing stray cats or dogs is something else.
