You're reading Ok, is it true that after you have your navel pierced for like maybe almost a month now and it starts itching, that it's healing?

what if its a little bit red....and just sore like if u pinchi t on accident but not when u move it or n e thing...and its NOT pussy...?

it's probably fine. navels are notoriously hard to heal. try doing salt soaks for 5-10 minutes 2-3 times per day. you may notice a white gooey discharge afterwards, this is a good thing; it is white blood cells that your body has sent to the forming fistula to help heal it. make sure not to use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on it. if you want to wash it, use a very gentle soap like dr. bronner's.

What are salt soaks? and What about Anti-Bacterial soap?
by Sgreenbean on July 2nd, 2007
salt soaks - 1/8 tsp salt in 8oz of the hottest water that isn't burning you. you can mix it is a cup and invert the cup so that your piercing is covered in the solution (that is the preferred method) or, you can put something like a cotton ball over it and pour the solution onto it to soak it through. antibacterial soap can be used, but it is not preferred. if you are going to use it, use dye-free, scent-free soap or dial. happy healing!

ok i did that and the next morning red and white pussy stuff came out...i dont think it was yellow or green..but then it went away and now its kinda red and pussy but it doesnt really hurt and there was a bubble with white pussy stuff in it and i popped it and now like clear stuff has been coming out....what does that mean....this just started happening yesterday....the other days it has been fine..like with nothing wrong with it...please help me cuz im really scared that its infected but i kinda dont think it is...and i have these red itchy bumps in my belly button...they arent around the piercing or n e thing...i had been puttin vitamin E oil on it...could that be an allergic reaction from that stuff?
by Sgreenbean on July 14th, 2007
go see your piercer. there is only so much i can know about what's going on without seeing the problem. he/she will be able to help figure out the problem and how to fix it.

ok thanks anyways

i used to be a body piercer... the red that came out is blood which is normal and white pussy stuff can be normal for the first month then if it keeps on going then you have an infection... make sure that you are cleaning it from the top part to the bottom part so youre not bringing germs and bacetria through the piercing. and DONT put vitamin e oil on it. thats not good at all
