    Yes. The payout on a nickel slot is likely to be around 85%, whereas a $5 slot may pay out closer to 95% or higher. The reason for this is that each machine has to pay for itself - a casino has to take a lot more nickels from players for them to make anywhere near as much money per machine as they do on a $5 slot. So, go ahead and play the high-dollar slots - they'll payback much better than the nickel slots. Of course, over time, you'll end up negative on either one....
