Actually bud, Christ is the Anglicization for the Greek word Khristos which is just a translation of the word Masiah (Messiah) which is Hebrew for Anointed. So really its Jesus the Anointed and as some may know, to be anointed just means to have oil or milk or butter or whatnot smeared on you. It just happens to also carry some spiritual significance from various religions that anoint their priesthood and the like.
