  • Not too sure, but I do know that banana's are very hard to digest. It may contribute to a nightmare.
  • I don't think so but I will say that they due to the potassium in bananas, you are less likely to wake up with muscle cramps.
  • Sometimes I have dreams about something I did right before I went to bed, so maybe if your eating them before bed it could contribute to a nightmare.
  • there's no reasoning for why a banana, specifically, would cause a nightmare. however eating in general right before night can cause nightmares and other sleep conplications (sometimes sleep walking, for instance). I'm not exactly sure why this is, but different people react different during digestion and increased activity within your body may cause nightmares
  • No, i dont think so. why would they?
  • nope....jus lucid dreams....i think it all has to do w/ ur state of mind
  • No, in fact eating a banana is a good idea before bed because they have a sedative affect. They can make you sleepy.
  • I believe they do. I always have very vivid, memorable dreams after eating bananas at night.
  • Yes! You can have nighmares about being chased by bananas who want to kill and eat you - sort of like Attack of The Killer Tomatoes
  • MY HUSBAND SAYS THAT IN MEXICO THEY DON'T EAT BANANAS BEFORE BED. BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS TOO BUSY DIGESTING THEM, SO YOU DON'T SLEEP RESTFULLY.. LOL
  • It's not really what you eat that causes nightmares, but rather the digestion process as your brain is attempting to "shut down". Things like spicy foods or unconventional mixes of food require a more intense working of the digestive system, which therefore explains the intensity in potential nightmaring.
  • My boyfriend said that they cause a restless night, which could lead to a nightmare. He says the same thing about cheese.
