I rub an ice cube over the area to help numb it a bit a pair of tweezers and out they come.

Tweezers...I'm a whiz at removing them :D

put a drop of glue on it, wait a bit, then peel the glue off along with the splinter.

Duct tape works great for me, usually, they are big, and break off at skin level. Also a nice pair of needle nose pliers, or tweezers may work as well.

I soak my hand in warm water for a few minutes, apply NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Ointment & Cream then tweezer it.

If it's in so deep that you can't just pull them out with a pair of tweezers, I usually use a needle to pry open the skin around one of the points to expose enough so I can use the tweezers

Get them out right away so the skin doesn't heal around them.

2-23-2017 Use a needle to spread the flesh each side of the splinter. Keep doing that until the splinter sticks to the side of the needle and you can lift it out. You can do this procedure on a kid's skin without causing pain. It only takes a minute.
