    the reason your plant is turning yellow is because it is receiving to much heat or direct sunlight....... or it may be sick with a plant type disease

    If the leaves are just turning yellow (no black spots or mold) then you will be fine. Gardenia's require more magnesium than most plants and they are acid loving. Add Epsom Salts and cornmeal for magnesium and a good fertilizer for acid loving shrubs. Composted Oak leaves and Pine needles are ideal for organic fertilizers.
