no but i had to cook it for a country yokel neighbour of mine! He asked me to pop it in the oven at a certain time, before he came home lol

I had porcupine, moose, deer, rabbit, partridge so why not pigeon?
-
Hmm... yeah, I think I would try it. I'm up for most things really...except I have a serious problem eating rabbit. The thought that it was once an adorable furry little animal just makes me a little sick when I think about eating it.

Yes but as they are quite small, I would have to have at least 2 to fill me up.
-
yes. squab can be very yummy when prepared by the right chef. my favorite squab was served at aquavit restaurant in nyc. i highly recommend an aperitif called linnie aquavit. its the best in the world.

I doubt it. I can barely get through a Cornish Game Hen.

Considering the diseases they carry, that has to be one of the most creative forms of suicide I've ever heard!
-
well, if it was either eat pigeon, or go hungry, yeh, i'd probably eat it :)
-
Sure! Some places in Europe it is considered a delicacy.

I have. We use to call it "squab."

in answer to your Q no thanks

Yes, have done. Pigeons can be raised just as chickens can, and if prepared properly, are just as healthy.
-
I would if I had to .. Besides... It can't be nearly as bad as eating crow ;-)
-
Sure, it is a form of food, right, especially if it were a matter of survival. Properly cooked and seasoned, of course. I wouldnt be surprised If I was told I already had eaten pigeon.
-
not if it died from that bird flu stuff
-
I would, I have. I used to raise squab just for eating:-) YUMMY!!!!
-
I have eaten pigeon as a child. My Grandfather used to make pigeon stew . I cannot say that I remember what it tastes like. I am not keen on any Game birds , the meat is too dark.
-
Not from the wild. I'm afraid of diseased meat, but sure...I'd try it, no problem.
-
In a life or death situation maybe.
-
