  • Roman Tokar
  • I think the CHARACTER'S name is Roman(Tokar). But the actor to me looks like Judd Hirsch, perhaps doing the commercial incognito. It's driving me nuts - hope to find out soon.
  • Definitely Roman Tokar....checked the ad trades online and found this.... "Citi "Jogging Suit" Fallon/Minneapolis A Borat-like character tells us he can "earn rewards points faster than ever" and that "for speed enhancement, I wear these striped pants." He shows his sidekick Victor how he earns Citi rewards points by using his credit card, checking account and online payment services. Principal Talent: Roman: Roman Tokar. Victor: Collin Christopher."
  • If you IMDb Roman Tokar (the name on his Citi card), you will find one role to his credit and nothing else. A New York taxi driver in a Russian TV series from year 2000. How many Russian ex-pats out there does he appeal to?
  • I just asked someone that the other day. I have no clue who he is lol
  • i think they are jumping on the borat success bandwagon by geting some random guy with a fairly comical accent.

  • His name is Roman Tokar and he was the maintenence man at my previous office space on park ave in nyc!! He would pass out his head shots and tell us all about his work as an extra here and there but no one knew how much we would be seeing of Roman!! Go Roman!
  • I used to work in the same building as Roman too! More than 5 years ago. I lost my headshot. :( He's a cool guy and I liked talking to him while avoiding work. I hope they're paying him well.
  • I don't think Roman is speaking with a Russian accent, but rather a Hungarian accent. Hungarians will turn r's into to d's - very to veddy and w's into v's. (Think Count Dracula - "I vant to suck your blood...") Russians will turn r's into w's. Also, Tokar is a Hungarian name, not Russian.
  • He looks like one of the actors in "The Boys in the Band" (1970). Was he in that film?
  • Citi To Drop Quirky 'Rewarding' Campaign Three Months Early -- Marketing Daily http://publications.mediapost.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Articles.showArticleHomePage&art_aid=52604 Yes, it's Roman Tokar -- but he'll go back to being a doorman in NYC. The ads, though memorable, are being dropped by Citibank!
