Why do female tennis players wear skirts when they play? Wouldn't shorts be more comfy?

actually not in some cases because skirts don't bother your inner leg as much as some shorts. and maybe it's just the style for tennis players or something

I have played in both and I prefer my skirt. Much more comfy and the spandex beneath the skirt is an excellent and comfortable place to store the extra tennis balls. =]
