Random just however they got put together.
-
alphabetically in each family members section!
-
Alphabetically by title, and separated by genre for movies. Alphabetically by artist, then by year, and separated by genre for music. I can't help it; I was a librarian, it's handy too. :)
-
They are scattered all over the friggin' place.
-
By genre and from first to last, same with my video games.
-
They're organized in a very complex "System" based mostly on what I find albums I find complimentary to one another. It looks like complete chaos to anyone who can't read my mind, but there *Is* a system of some sort in there, I'm just not entirely sure what it is yet...

My movies are alphabetical. Music is pretty random I tend to have about 6 cd's I'll play over and over for a while then I put them at the bottom of the pile and get 6 more. I like lots of genres so in that 6 their will be 4-5 completely different types of music.

Movies are sorted alphabetically by title. CDs are alphabetical by artist, and then by release date.
-
They are in piles here and there. My son is not the most organized person on earth. LOL I try, but he just doesn't want to cooperate. Organization is not a top priority for a six year old boy. :)
-
Actually, they are in piles on my living room floor.... Remindes me, I have to fix that. I need a DVD holder.
-
DVDs-alphabetical CDs-Alphabetical, by genre
-
They're randomly stacked in most rooms of the house. In the wrong cases. Most of the cases are just empty anyway, and I use them as rulers when I can't find any. And CD's are always good for balancing mugs on.
-
I don't collect many DVD's but the CD's are arranged alphabetically by artist, then chronologically within each artist.
-
At my local Blockbuster. I don't own many, mostly gifts and such.
-
Alphabetical, at least they should be
-
Put them is a box
-
Haphazardly:(
-
I shelve them alphabetically, expcept for the albums of the same band, they get filed chronologically.
-
I have them in stacks by the year they were recorded :)
-
the order in which they were last played.
-
Itunes does a good job of organizing them.

Most of my movies are totally random. I couldn't find a particular movie to save a life. My holiday movies and specials are arranged by original release date. They are also cataloged alphabetically and by type (ie cartoon, full movie, made for tv). I have a holiday movie thing...

I have my DVDs seperate from the videos. The only movies I have in order are the movies that have more than one part. I only have 3 CDs right now and they are the now CDs so I keep them going from Now 26 to 28.
