Because it's not what they want to hear. They'll only hear what they want to hear.

Depends on the question/situation. If it's a dream or heart felt desire they want, they should never accept "no".
-
Do it like Dr. Cox does.

For some no is not an option. Or they were spooiled. Or something they truely believe in. Really depends on what it is.
-
For some people, and I have known a few like this, the word "no" simply does not exist in their vocabulary. This is especially true with those who are accustomed to getting their own way. When they don't, they tend to tune out what they don't want to hear.

I answered one this morning and was rated up for it. the question was do you look good. I could only see a reason to post a yes or a no answer. I think if they want more they should ask something that requires more like adding why at the end of their question. I do not know why some will not accept no but some don't.

Because a lot of people's "no" doesn't really always mean/stay "no." If I could get someone to change an answer in my favor, I think I would :)
-
A humongous ego has no room for "no".
-

-
I don't know. Some guestions only require an simple yew or no.

They are either politicians or salesmen, both of which use the word "no" as a challenge, a dare, an invitation to browbeat you to death until you either cry "uncle" or give 'em what they want. Simply stay away from such people and you'll be o.k. :)
