  • possibly your brake pads are worn down to the metal? Death trap, get it seen by a mechanic.
  • It could also just be some "gunk" accumulated on the pads. Either way, you don't want to take any chances with your brakes. Agree with sandokan: get it checked.

  • My 2000 bonneville makes a loud clonking noise after driving it for 10 minutes on the rear side passenger side... note only when I brake. I took it to a good year dealer who put all new brakes & rotors. same thing. took it back, said they could find nothing wwrong. said it could ba bad caliper. took it to another goodyear dealer, they said they could find nothing wrong.
