I don't think so. I haven't heard that use.

My grandfather use to refer to Chinese food as "chinks"...
-
I wouldn't want you calling me it if I was Chinese.

Chink is a derogatory ethnic slur for someone of Chinese descent, now used as an epithet against East Asians. Chink may also mean a small crevice or opening, often referring to a weakness, such as a "chink in the armor." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chink So yeah, don't use it, unless you want to be a jerk.
-
what do you think?
-
I think it's typically pronounced "Chink" but someone could have put their own, ridiculous little twist on it. I hope no one called you or a friend that.

"Chink" can also be a verb, meaning to fill in gaps or cracks, such as wattling. When I was young it wasn't a racist term, but "racism," both the word and the concept, had not yet been invented. "Chink" was usually used to refer to all yellow-skinned Orientals. It's recently been superseded by "Gook," which is definitely racist. I'm not sure that "Chink" is racist --- in the modern sense of that term, but I wouldn't use the word in the presence of a Chinese. Hmmm. I suppose that means that I do think of it as a racist term.

"Chink" is the racist term. "Plate face is another".

sounds like it might be

9-10-2017 I never heard the term. There is a Japanese game called "Pachinko", somewhat like pinball. https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=pachinko

Probably. Of course you have to be careful because some people don't want to be called Chinese either. There should be no borders and all that nonsense.... People are offended no matter what you do. I wouldn't worry about it.
