I have a Pioneer DVR-RT500.
Over the past week I've been watching some DVRs almost exclusively. Now, when I put in a commercial DVD, I get the "incorrect disc - C104" error. DVRs play fine.
Any ideas what's wrong?

My pioneer did the same thing. I was able to play DVD-R burned ones, but not commercial. Grab the remote, click on "Progressive" and everything will go back to normal.

Hello again, sorry I still had problems as well with just using progressive, as I later found out. When the DVR goes into this mode, try and get your hand on a burned DVD video. (I use +R) I took a family video we made, and put it into the burner, and it played fine. Then for whatever reason, when I put the DVD+RW back in, it is able to play again....go figure!
