No. If you or I died yesterday there would be no headlines. He was just a man. I do feel badly that he had cancer but I feel bad for ANYONE that has cancer.

He was a great artist and will be missed in the world of music. His name will be long remembered as possibly the greatest tenors of his day. I consider myself lucky to have seen him perform live, while he was still in his prime.

Yes. I am very saddened. I greatly enjoyed his music, and he will be missed, at least by me.

I do. I wasn't a great fan of opera but I still think he contributed greatly to many peoples' enjoyment. That in itself is quite an accomplishment and something to be missed.

He died?? When?? Why didn't anyone mention this? Really, no one said anything in the news.. And yes, I do care. He was one of the greatest and most talented singers I have ever listened to.

A truly magnificent artist, he had been ill with pancreatic cancer for some time. He actually completed his final concert tour while ill. +4
