  • The MSG "drug"! What IS interesting is that Chinese food in the USA does not taste like traditional Chinese food. In China homecooked Chinese is a totally different taste.
  • This is an excellent question. I actually prefer Japanese to chinese food. But there just aren't any good places that are actually affordable around here where I'm living now.
  • It started because so many Chinese immigrants were brought over or came over to work in the 1800s, mostly building the railroads. They did not adapt to eating American food very well, preferring their own so they opened up many restaurants. Americans ate that food also and have gotten used to seeing it and eating it. So you could say that the Chinese got a head start here in the restaurant industry.
  • Probably because you see more Chinese restaurants around than you do the other Asian places. I like Japanese better but there isn't one close to us.
  • I would assume because there were more Chinese immigrants than Japanese immigrants. Even in Westerns, they frequently show Chinese working on the railroads.
  • because "chinese food" isint eaten in asian countries, they have a vey healthy diet
  • Prolly a number of factors. One I'd like to point out is marketing. If you want a good business, you need good marketing. Chinese food is a HUGE business in America, so what's that say about their marketing?
