  • Not all of us. Some of are far less superficial preferring to get to know a person from the inside out.
  • That's a tricky question because the phrase "gentleman prefer blondes" actually means "nice guys (gentle men) prefer blondes," but I assume you as really asking if guys really like blondes better. Some guys do, others prefer brunettes, while others would choose a red-hed any day. There is no proven correlation between what type of man prefers a certain hair color. Most of this preference comes from past experiences as well as personal preference. It's not much, but I hope it helps.
  • They prefer blondes for a moment and brunettes for a lifetime. Blondes 'to die out in 200 years' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2284783.stm Edit - I didn't say blondes don't get married. Blondes are associated with youth and fun, that's why so many brunettes become blonde. The point is even the natural blondes will become grey anyway so in the end who cares? I gave a light answer for a light question.
  • Now, a true gentleman probably doesn't have a preference as to the hair color. It should be more about the person on the inside. But on the other hand, a lot of guys like blondes because of the stereotype that they are all dumb, and they think it's guarenteed action.
  • Gentlemen prefer ladies, not hair colour.
  • The reason there are blonde jokes is because of the envy of all brown, black, and red haired people. Blondes generelly aren't ofended by blonde jokes becauuse they are proud of there beautiful hair. The reason why gentlemen might pefer a blonde is he sees the confidence, and high self esteem glowing from a blondes golden hair.
  • Honestly folks, let's not kid ourselves. Chances are if there's no physical attraction, you're going to be less inclined to find out whether or not someone's personality is complimentary to their looks. Personally I have an attraction to some blondes, and more blondes than other hair colours but I am attracted to brunettes etc. as well. To each their own, but in order to find out if all gentlemen prefers blondes (which I doubt) you'd have to run a poll... and find some gentlemen ;)
  • Ok- well, obviously, I'm not a gentleman, or even a man- so I don't know how useful my answer will be. But in my time I've had red, black, brown and blonde hair (and an ill-advised episode of pink and purple in my teens!) and I honestly got the most attention from men (not sure about the "gentle" bit, but we'll give them the benefit of the doubt) during my brunette days. I'm a natural brunette. I have a friend who's a natural blonde, who's been through similar hair dye experiments, and - true to form- she had most "success" as a blonde. It seems to me, then, that nature knows best after all- although if I got chance I'd love to take this experiment further, just out of curiosity!
  • I believe this was a phrase invented by women who were disheartened by their male counterparts' fascination with blondes. While everyone truly does have a favorite, it is my experience that most men tend to appreciate hair color that is different than the girl they are with, or have just dated. A simple analogy would be food. While you might like burgers, eating them for a week would really make a pizza look delicious. So blonde, brunette, redhead, or other.....men like variety, they really do. And it's just as simple as imagining what it would be like with someone different than you got.
  • Gentlemen and men (gentle or not) may very well prefer blondes in magazines, movies, porn, who knows? Though I am certainly more attracted to men of a certain type, that does not exclude the rest of the population that does not have dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin and that exotic Mediterranean look (think Joe Perry, Aerosmith). Prowling is one thing, hooking up for life a totally different matter, and if ANYONE, male or female, makes choices based on hair color alone, they are in for some misery. But, as a redhead, I can say the male fascination with redheads borders on fetishism.
  • Men may be more attracted to blondes, but look around you. men marry all colors of womens hair. its not whats on top, its whats in their heart. I hated redheaded women forever. but, guess what? i married one and still married. Blonde hair just attracts more attention. Remember, whats on top may not be elsewhere.
  • Totally a personal preferance..I without a doubt prefer blondes. I had a great girlfriend, smart and beautiful..but i never took the next step largely because she wasnt blonde.. very shal
  • the phrase, Gentlemen prefer blonds is the title of a novel written about a hooker - This goes with the notion that blonde women are easier. I think the easiness that is associated with a blonde woman is what appeals to men and their ever so sensitive ego; there is more chance of being knocked back by a brunette. The sequel of gentlemen prefer blondes, which isn't much heard of because it never got made into a movie is BUT GENTLEMENT MARRY BRUNETTES which sort of goes with the notion that most men think that brunettes are smarter and better mothers and wives. Personally I think the reason blonde hair catches the eyes of men is because the light tone of the hair is closer to "skin colour" and therefore makes a blonde look "more naked". If you look at 3 women all of equal height, all with long hair, all wearing the same bikini, but one red-head, one brunette and one blonde you will notice that the blonde seems to be more naked than the other two somehow. The red and brown hair tones can almost look like clothing, as though they are covered up - but the blonde hair makes the woman look like more skin is on display - men follow nakedness of women more than they follow anything else. Well, that's my theory...
  • Yes... ...and brunettes and redheads and....
  • NO!.I love short tiny brunettes.
  • According to Hollywood, the adult entetainment industry and the Nazis, yes they do.
  • Not the ones, I have met. *Wink*
  • Oh dear Fuschia! I am half Indian and half Italian; tall (6.1), thin, small tits, long black straight hair, very dark skin, and great ass. Believe me, no blonde ever could take the glances, let alone the guys, away from me. Ha ha ha.
  • I don't as I never felt the hair color was important enough to be considered.
  • This might have some truth to it, but I know lots of men who fantasize about red heads.
  • I actually have more of a thing for brunettes rather than blondes.
  • Some men prefer blondes, but most of them don't care. Actually, I know more men who prefer brunettes!
  • I am reminded of a certain blond gentleman who prefers long, dark hair.
  • doesnt matter to me
  • I dunno? Are Tommy Lee and Kid Rock gentelmen? I suppose it depends. Tony curtis was gay, but always a gentleman to Marilyn Monroe, if that makes a difference?
  • i think that i'm probably not a gentleman, so, i'm afraid, on this score, that my opinion won't count ... i think that it was johnne donne or so smooth operator like him who said that the eyes are the window to the soul. frankly, hair color, length (well, maybe a little on the longer side), build, boobs, butt ... matter less to me than the most relevant factors - kindness, honor, love, respect, trust ...
  • No, they prefer brunettes
  • I think that guys notice blond hair more as its just a brighter colour but its the face and personality that counts i have a blond friend shes more of a dirty blond but recently she dyed it bleach blond and guys who go pass will shout comments to her that are all about her bein a slag and im a brunette and dont get it quite as bad but i still get lots of stares i think some guys associate blonds as easy i think. At the end of the day hair colour doesnt matter n guys dont just go for a certain colour girls. most guy i have seen on this subject perfer brunnettes though.
  • just to let everyone know that not even some of the most famous blonds such as marlin monro were actually brunnettes which just prove blonds dont just have more fun
  • If I considered myself a gentleman, I would say no. I still say no, I don't prefer blondes.
  • No blondes thanks, been down that road.
  • fuck no
  • The last remark reminds me of what I was thinking...So I'll post it. If all the blondes died out then there would be no more blonde jokes! Or maybe just one...
  • I think anyone that decides who they want to date based on hair color is too shallow to be worth a date anyhow. Guys look at more than hair, and a lasting relationship involves more than looks.
  • I don't prefer them, but I don't prefer a specific hair color, just so long a it's natural.
  • I do not care which color hair is but I prefer vibrant of what ever color it is. golden or platinum blonde over dishwater blonde, glossy jet black over mat black, mahogany brown over flat brown, firey red over carrot top.
  • I think so, but there are some hot brunettes, auburn and red heads out there too. It's only a minor thing in my opinion
  • nah they are mostly fake blondes which can mean fake boobs which can mean fake other body parts stick to a natural beauty and you cant go wrong in the long term......... i like redheads
  • I don't, but I don't think that I am a Gentleman either =)
  • its the other way around
  • sorry ol chap but that sounds like a lot of nonsence to me.
  • From my meager sampling, red heads taste better. .
  • Some men might prefer blondes, but I think it's because blonde stands out a little more in a crowd. Also, blondes are often portrayed differently in the media, usually being more "playful", "fun", etc. (Or at least from what I've seen.)To each their own, I guess...!
  • They better not. Stupid gentlemen.
  • I don't mind the colour as long as its not blue or bright pink or something. I prefer longer hair too but neither would be a total deal breaker
  • They do at the strip club. ("gentlemen club" to call it nicely)
  • Not me. Blondes too often feel an obligation to act stupid even if they aren't. I don't like shallow women. Blegh.
  • I like to think of myself as a gentleman, but I prefer Redheads to blonds.
  • everyone here is knocking blondes. there is no deep theory on men and preferred hair colour. there is more impotant things to be blogging about FOR EXAMPLE starvation in 3rd world countrys not blondes are easy and dumb, which we definatly are not. seems like ya'll are
  • Are there any gentlemen left?
  • Well the two i was involved with were certainly the same. Both vain and vindictive when the 'imagined' someone had slighted them.
  • "gentlemen" is a funny word, like "adult" Both can be good words - responsible, careful, capable of making wise decisions both can be pretty bad - as in "gentleman's club' and 'adult bookstore' So I"d say there is a good chance that gentlemen prefer blonds
  • Gentlemen prefer ladies.
  • no, they dont.
  • Honestly, I think red heads get the most attention, but there are gentlemen with preferences for every color of the rainbow.
  • YOUO KNOW WHAT THEY SAY...BLONDES MAY HAVE MORE FUN, BUT US BRUNETTES WILL REMEMBER IT!!
  • i agree that the majority of men prefer blondes, just not gentlemen. the kind of guys that are attracted to blondes all seem to be sleazy and under the impression that blonde girls are easy. which (contrary to popular belief) is a lie.
  • People can say whatever they want but.... I will tell you from my personal experience. Blondes DO get checked out more than brunettes do. When my hair is brown I do not get nearly the amount of "check-out looks" as I do when the hair is blonde. Just a fact.
  • no that is not the case. Blondes are great dont get me wrong but so are brunnettes and red heads. Brunettes/red heads are very mysterious and get my attention more so than a blonde will.
  • Depends on what mood i am in for
  • No... I don't think so?
  • I've always been attracted to women with dark hair and light skin. Like without fail, that is what catches my interest. And yes, I am a gentleman.
  • I don't.
  • I know a lot of guys who do, but I've always prefered brunettes. I think it's because the dark hair frames the face better - provides a better 'outline' for it, if you will...
  • I don't have anything against blondes but I personally think dark haired women tend to be more beautiful. I also think they keep their beauty longer than blondes do.
  • i prefer a brunette
  • Note that the most popular color for women to dye their hair is blond.
  • blonds, brunettes. redheads, and all other women.
  • not always...
  • They like girls who can spell too.
  • I've always liked brunettes more and have dated more women with brunette hair colour.
  • I like blondes and brunetts ,,,so there ,,,brown hairs nice as well...hehe
  • I love red heads :3
  • and bruenettes,black haired,red haired even bald
  • Ugliness as opposed to hair colour, will result in my veto.
  • I do not think it all depend on the girls heart and not physical.
