Only if you lie about it and the background investigator finds out that you lied. The ticket is just an infraction and will not preclude you (assuming this is your only ticket).

It depends on your past driving record, as well as the speeding citation in New Jersey. do not leave this out of your application. it will be discovered on a thorough background record check. Any omissions, are grounds for rejection, in law enforcement.

Of course you can! Cops speed too on and off duty. The good news here is.........Once you become a cop and your pulled over for speeding.. more then likely you won't get a ticket. Cops normaly don't ticket cops. But don't think for one min. that this gives you free raine to run a muck! you have to abide by the laws just like the rest of us. If you continue to get speeding tickets, this will have an adversed effect on your carrer to be. My suggestion would be SLOW DOWN!!!
