To a small extent, yes.

No. Technology is a tool. PEOPLE make choices, not technology. Just like guns don't kill people, pencils don't make spelling errors and eating utensils don't make people fat. The problem is everyone trying to blame everything but the person who is making the choices. For some reason people think that being honest might hurt someone's feelings so they blame everything except the person making the choices that causes the problems. Personal accountability is essential for personal growth. Trying to shield people from the consequences of their choices is called enabling poor choices and deflecting responsibility. The people making the choices are responsible for the consequences of their choices. People need to stop blaming everything else so the one making the choices can realize they have the power to change the outcome if they can recognize the connection. If they think something else is responsible they don't realize they have the power to make a different choice to change the outcome.

Shadow Of The Mind Their choice to get involved with technology can take away their sense of empathy and emotional connection with others but I suppose it depends on the person and how much time they spend on technology. Technology maybe a tool but depending on the person and how engaged they are into it, their human side of things such as emotions can be affected. It is people's actions and their decisions that lead to consequences so they have themselves to blame for their lack of empathy and emotional connection with their decision to become highly involved with technology. -
Linda Joy You never listen. You just continue to push your agenda to PROVE YOU ARE RIGHT. Oh well, maybe someone else will see the wisdom in what I've said and it can help THEM. Then answering your question wouldn't have been a total waste of my time. -
Linda Joy If you think technology is so bad why do you come here? Why not throw your computer away? -
Shadow Of The Mind I’m not too involved with technology. I don’t use a computer when I’m on here. I use my phone. I suppose you’ll tell me to throw away my phone. I’m not saying technology is bad. It’s down to some people who use it as to how much time they spend on their device. I’m not too involved with my phone so I won’t be throwing it away. -
Linda Joy Your phone has a computer in it. And its not a matter of time spent on the device but the choice as to whether or not to have empathy. Plain and simple. -
Shadow Of The Mind The point I’m making is that people who spend so much time on their devices lack empathy. It’s their choice that leads to this. Some people don’t know the meaning of empathy. It’s the person’s decision to be engaged in their technical devices that leads to lack of empathy and that they have forgotten about it.
