  • 3. Very average and mundane. My favorite: Grape Nuts. Let the milk soak for a few minutes. Super crunchy and tasty...AND one of the healthiest cereals there is, AND one of the CHEAPEST cereals there is. (You practically need a mortgage if you want to buy the other super-healthy cereals.)

Oatmeal is way cheaper! But,,, not as healthy.

"Grape-Nuts Cereal is richer in Manganese, Phosphorus, and Fiber, while Kellogg's Corn Flakes are higher in Vitamin B12, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B1, Vitamin A RAE, and Vitamin D. Kellogg's Corn Flakes covers your daily need of Vitamin B12 208% more than Grape-Nuts Cereal." https://www.google.com/search?q=compare+grape+nuts+and+corn+flakes&oq=compare+grape+nuts+and+corn+flakes&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160j33i299l2.12554j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Linda: I'm looking basically at protein vs sugar and fiber vs sugar. VERY few cereals beat Grape Nuts on those scores. Neither Grape Nuts nor Corn Flakes is a vitamin pill. If you want that, then buy the excellent-tasting Total.

Yes, I give both Grape Nuts and oatmeal more stars than corn flakes.
  • Its cheaper than most cereals and fairly healthy as you can see from the link I posted on bible guy's answer. It turns soggy fast in milk, but you can use it in other ways. Its healthier and cheaper than croutons on a salad. You can use it to top ice cream, or put it in trail mix to extend it and make it healthier, or swap it for the rice in a rice krispy treat. I've also incorporated it into a chocolate candy like rice krispies. It can be used in a pinch to thicken soups (I suggest you crush it with a rolling pin first), coat meats like chicken and air fry, or make a crispy topping for a casserole or cobbler. But I would never pay for the brand name. I use the generic.
  • How many know Kellogg's corn flakes was originally invented to curb the sexual appetites of young boys. Personally, I never cared for corn flakes, they get soggy too quickly. I do like grape nuts and some of the Kashi cereals.

It was invented as a healthier alternative to the meat, cholesterol and grease people used to eat every morning, but I'm not surprised you turn everything around to sex with young boys!

Do some research, Linda Joy. You will see I am correct. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=history+of+corn+flakes&docid=603514815736475466&mid=5B8158489758064AE2725B8158489758064AE272&view=detail&FORM=VIRE
  • Younger people would rate them rather low - they're into sugary foods that are associated with a current theme. Older people would rate them higher since they don't really care about "Blazing Samurai" or the "DC League of Super-Pets". Give them something soggy and easier to chew and they're happy.
  • Just Corn Flakes I'd rate a 3 as they tend to taste VERY bland & get soggy really fast!!! Now, IF I have any fruit that I can add, I'd probably up them to a 4 because fruit tends to give them an extra kick that I like. 😋
  • On a spice level? Zero. LOL. For health and whatever else, I suppose there a many worse things, but I would recommend a variety of different grains for breakfast cereals, and never just eat cereal alone.
  • I would score them a 5 , I like them.
  • I give Kellogg's Corn Flakes 2.5 stars.
  • 5. I like Kellogg's Corn Flakes. They are low in fiber compared to Kellogg's All Bran. But Kellogg's Corn Flakes go well with a piece of fruit to balance your breakfast.
  • I give it a 1. Gets far too milk logged, does not & will not maintain any form of firmness or crunch in the slightest at all.
