      I respect your right to disagree. But I said nothing about the incidents of life being within your control. Your reaction to the incident is completely within your control. In fact you're the only one who can control it.

  • Sounds like a corollary of Edison's "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."
  • Not really true at all. It's just one of those things that sound good but mean little in real life. For example if someone is mentally ill or physically disabled. How they "react" might be by ending their life.
