  • It may be a sensitivity that you have to some of the compounds in the pear. Pears (and apples) have a lot of highly volatile compounds that can combine with the moisture in your mouth and that could be the reason your mouth is drying out. If it was those compounds, this would happen to you when you ate apple as well. I personally do not experience this when eating pears.
