  • Hard to say. It is either the Catholics or the Mormons (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), since most other churches are not organized in a way that there is centralized wealth. I believe they are the only two major Churches that are organized as Corporation Soles, which is a type of corporation that never has to be renewed with the government. (Legally, they are immortal.)
  • Yes..it is the one of if not the wealthiest 'entities' in the world. The Mormons are poor in comparison, due to the fact the Catholic church has it's own city, own police force, has been around for HUNDREDS of years amassing an inordinate amount of wealth in the form of 'priceless' art treasures.
