well i am a lesbian so i can tell you, lesbian flirting is just like a guy trying to flirt with a hott chick. walk over to you making conversation, putting all the attention on you. Now attraction is different, you really have to feel something from this other person. not just thinking damn she has a nice ass or big tits, passion and feeling. Pretty much feeling like you wanna spend alot of time with this girl, and she's different then all the others.

My daughter is gay.She says that when shopping if a clerk makes extended eye contact while fondling your foot in shoes, she is flirting. She also says that clerks offering to help make sure your clothes fit well while in a dressing room are looking for signs you approve.

I think the signs are more subtle. The longer stare. Lots of complements. Touching on the arms. My experience is that attractive, well groomed women are more incline to flirt with me. The radar is out and it's sharp. I know when a woman is at least curious by the time I walk past them. ;-)

It's the same as heterosexual, but women don't just hit on someone that looks hot. There is usually some sort of emotional attraction or connection before it starts. For me it's hard to tell when someone is flirting sometimes. I've gotten burned thinking they were when they weren't and I've been told that someone was flirting when I didn't realize it. I think it's an innate thing.
