Do you consider people that opose illegal drugs and drink alcohol, smoke tobacco or abuse prescription drugs to be hypocrites?

no. thats a smal percentage.. most people who use illegal drugs would like to think that everyone who drinks alcohol is abusing it, or they are abusing pills.. not sure hoow tobacco is considered last time I checked it wasnt a controlled substance or a narcotic.

Somewhat, yes. Addiction is addiction, no matter how you look at it. Some people are more willing to do things to get their fixes than others, but you are still using a vice and a crutch to get through life- same as a crack head, same as a junkie, same as a pill head, same as an alcholic, and smokers, while they are still addicted to cigarettes and are using it as a crutch, it's not as far into those mind altering substances as the others.

Yes if they abuse alcohol, smoke or abuse prescription drugs deliberately. If they have a drink once in awhile, no, there is nothing wrong with drinking in balance. Taking prescription drugs isn't wrong but taking it for the wrong reasons is. Tricking your doctor/s to get high is.

I know people that smoke cigars and drink liquor all the time, yet look down on my cannabis use. I'm not abusing marijuana, I don't smoke until after or around 4:20 on weekdays and consume in moderation. They aren't abusing alcohol, their use patterns are similar if not more frequent. The argument that some "alcohol users drink for the taste" is defended religiously by alcohol users. I would like this answered though: Someone smoking cannabis is very aware when they are too baked(or abusing cannabis). *Why is it that drunks don't think they're drunk(or abusing alcohol), isn't that more dangerous? "I'm not drunk I can ________." I would guess that the majority of people should be able to fill this blank with something i.e. drink more, fight, drink another, flirt etc.... Yes, I would say they are hypocrites.

they are hippocrates so long as they say one thing and yet are addicted to drugs themselves. the fact is that drugs like dope are not worse for you than alcohol or cigaretes, perhaps even beter, so if you are physicaly dependent on a non essential drug to your life and oppose "drugs" you are a hypocrite
