  • I would only change your water twice a month in your tank and only change 1/4 of the water!!!
  • Depends on your setup. If you have goldfish, you need to do biweekly water changes. For most other fish, weekly water changes of 25% of the water should be sufficient.
  • Wow. when I had a 10 gallon, I doubt I changed the water more than 2-3 times a year. My fishies never complained, and lived long without problems. My 20 and 30 gallon tanks are treated the same way. No problems yet...
  • You should be doing a 25% water change every week and a 75% water change once per month. Test your water weekly, and if it comes back with "stress levels" do a 50% water change every other day and a 90% water change once per week, until the stress levels are gone.
