  • The GE "Just Cut" Christmas trees are the most realistic that I have seen. Their needles look like real needles! They come in several "species," i.e. color and branch arrangements that match a specific kind of tree, like spruce or fir. From a foot away, you would swear they are real! Lowes Hardware and Sears both carry these trees.
  • I personally prefer the blue spruce. It was somewhat expensive back then, but I don't know about now, but you might want to check it out. It is beautiful and it stays nice for many many years!
  • www.merchantoverstock.com has the Santa's Best Just Cut Christmas Trees. They are better then the ones at lowes because they are not "cheater Trees" like the ones at lowes sells. Merchantoverstock has more lights on their trees and more tips. They also have the best selection of christmas merchandise I have ever seen. They also have a physical retail store called Dave's Christmas in Cheektowaga New York. Its on the corner of Union and William. You can go there and actually see all their merchandise including the trees, and even buy from there (their store is like a christmas destination) I would Highly suggest looking on www.merchantoverstock.com
  • You would be surprised now to see what Balsam Hill has with its own True Needle technology for extremely realistic Christmas trees. They have worked diligently to make it look and feel just like a real Christmas tree. Feel free to take a look yourself at: http://www.balsamhill.com
  • Hammacher Schlemmer has the most realistic tree in the world, professionally strung with the best lights available, guaranteed for life. The tree is molded from a live Abies procera, or Noble fir, considered one of the most desired holiday trees for its deep blue-green color and symmetrical branch pattern. The actual branches of a Noble fir were used in the polyethylene injection-molding process to replicate the exact growth patterns and distinct, short, wide, and rounded needle tips of the original tree. Its shape is so realistic, and its needles are so soft, that it was mistaken for a live specimen by tree farmers.
  • a real tree from a real forest
  • A real tree is fine if you're not allergic to it; if it doesn't burn the house down; if you have the money to replace it every year; if you have the patience to clean up after it; and if you're willing to deal with the constant watering and the disposal. For me, I like the convenience and cost-effectiveness of an artificial tree. There are ones on the market now that look and feel like the real thing. This means you can have the best of both worlds. The name of the tree I'm talking about is TruTip. They're lifelike, premium quality trees with long warranties. They're at ChristmasLightsEtc.com. Here's the link: http://www.christmaslightsetc.com The image is off their website.
  • www.treeclassics.com Slightly cheaper than Balsam Hill :) Great customer service. The images are for the Royal Spruce :)
  • My vote is for Santa's Quarters: www.santasquarters.com You can see their trees in their New Orleans shop (where I bought mine) or online. They also have the "TruTip" needles, but they just call them their "Premium Trees". Last year I bought the Hunter, and people who came to my Christmas party thought it was real until they got up close.
