Mobile technology is defined as any portable device that can store, transfer or manipulate data into a new form. Thanks to recent advancements, millions upon millions of people worldwide are using this technology on a daily basis.
The beginning
Mobile technology made its first appearance in the 1940s. However, the mobile technology of today was not available until 1983.
The First Generation
The first generation of mobile technology consisted of bulky car phones. This mobile technology had an analog design that was unreliable and often produced static.
Digital Advancements
By the 1990s, mobile technology featured digital-circuit-switched transmission. This made transfer of data faster and more accurate.
3G
By the third generation of mobile technology, smart phones were readily available to the public. This mobile technology allows customers not only to carry on conversations but also to transmit large data files.
Today
Mobile technology of today includes smart phones, WiFi and personal assistants that you can hold in the palm of your hand.
