Hair loss is a condition that plagues both men and women all around the world. There are many treatments and procedures that people of both sexes can pursue.
Coverage
The simplest form of treatment is to purchase a hair piece or wig. Made out of synthetic or natural hair, a hair prosthesis can be easily fitted to one's head and can give anyone the confidence and assurance that they so desire.
Medication
For a more permanent solution, there are available prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Two of the leading products are Rogaine (a topical solution) and Propecia (a prescribed medication). Although Rogaine is available for men and women, Finasteride (the active drug in Propecia) is not FDA approved for women and could cause birth defects.
Surgery
An expensive choice is to do hair plugs or scalp reduction. Both of these procedures are stressful to the area. Hair plugs might require several procedures.
All Natural
It might be a good idea to go with the all-natural trend of today. Even though the results could be better with other methods, the side effects from drugs and chemicals might do some unwanted damage to your body or your hair.
Other
If none of these options work, there are some other unusual products out there. One such product is called Mag-Gro. This is a magnetic massager that is supposed to help stop hair loss and promote new hair growth.
