When a woman is pregnant, she might experience a reduction in the hormone, estrogen. Estrogen lubricates vaginal tissue and wards off infection by maintaining an acidity level that fights off bacteria. The reduction of the estrogen levels will cause vaginal dryness during pregnancy.
