Bone density tests are read according to T-scores and Z-scores. T-scores are an average based on young adults; Z-scores are an average based on your age. When graphed on a bell curve, normal (-1 to +1) is shown in a rich blue, low bone density (0 to +1) in a blue-green and osteoporosis (-1 to -2.5) in green.
