Groups such as America Council for Drug Education, listed below, are getting the message of awareness out to schools with a 'cool' message. Schools are an important front due to peer pressure amongst youth.
Knowledge
Knowledge is the direct enemy of drug dealers. Education about the damages drug usage can cause is a more cost-effective approach to battling the epidemic of addiction.
Truth and Drugs
Making sure kids know the truth about illicit and illegal drug usage is the real front in the war on drugs. Kids need to hear the truth from adults they trust and respect before dealers can reach them. All the laws a government can pass won't be as effective as the individual making the choice to abstain in the war on drugs.
