I have downloaded music on my PSP but I cannot get the music to play back. What am I missing?

The music must be mp3 format. So anything else won't play.

Format your Memory Stick Duo with the Sony PSP Unit you can see there there is a folder for Music and Photos, and you can put your mp3's there.

The PSP also plays the ATRAC3 audio format. I believe it is a Sony developed audio format that is better quality than MP3.

you can also download mp3 encoders that translate the music format the the current format to mp3 format so virtually any sound file will work.
