Yes - 23152(a) of the California Vehicle Code is the basic DUI statute. It was formerly 23102(a) until 1982. Prior convictions that are used to enhance sentences for repeat DUI offenders include convictions under the old 23102(a) [see California Vehicle Code section 23216].
