  • Atheists do not believe in any god or gods. +4
  • From what I've learned from atheists I talked to and heard from, it seems to be the Christian God, specifically, that they have a problem with.
    • ReiSan
No, it is all gods. Christianity is not as special as you imagine.
    • OC Joe
It only seems to be Christians who seem so consumed by non-believers and who rant about how evil they are. Other religions seem to be much less interested in athiests or weaponizing their religion.
  • An imaginary one.
  • From what I know atheists don't believe in any God. What they do believe in, however, is having their heads up every one's asses that do believe in God the Father. That's why most Atheists have brown hair and eyes.
    • OC Joe
If this is a stupid contest with the original post, you are in second place.
  • Please tell me how something that a person doesn't believe exists can be categorised by that person in any way at all.
  • The only kind there is ie. the supernatural kind.
  • Any at all. The moment you relinquish your role to any god then you have given up on a great many things. You stymie progress of human evolution.
  • well first i say you can believe as it is your right as it is my right to say i do not believe, and because i do not believe does that make me a bad person i say no, why i do not believe is purely on what has happened in my life time, where as God been surely he should have intervened by now ,poverty and wars millions of innocent people have died ,what has god been doing .have your beliefs and l will have mine.+4
  • Any and all of them.
  • Atheist basically don't believe in any god, there's no proof.
  • The kind of god that everyone keeps screaming at me that I need to believe in that will smite me most sorely in the afterlife for not brownosing HIM now. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fDp7pkEcJVQ
  • He is a God that supposenly speaks in mysterious ways but in fact has a way with words as he created anything and everything including lanugage. He is a kind God who gave us the free-will to belive in him or burn in hell for eternity. He is an all powerful God, so powerful that we dont just worship him but we also worship his son, even tho we are all supposenly his children? He is a good intellergent God who has a book named The ''Holy'' Bible which is supposenly his words, even tho it says king james versionm on the front cover. He is a confusing God.
  • The kind of God that you DO believe in? (i.e. any supernatural entity whose existence is unfalsifiable)
  • The Christian all loving compassionate god that allows little kids to get cancer and suffer! Innocent men, women and children who die in natural catastrophes leaving their relatives in complete shock and bewilderment. You know - The kindly god that just allowed Major Tom's wife to be killed just before he was to retire in 2yrs to their retirement farm. THAT SHIT OF A GOD!!
  • You're funny. :)
  • All of em...every stinking one. No wait..none exist so it's tough to not believe in things that don't exist...even harder to BELIEVE in them... Wow.. Now THAT REALLY takes a leap of....stupidity now doesn't it?
  • There are no gods.
  • God doesn't believe in atheists so Atheists don't exist. hahaha
  • I think you should recheck your definition of an atheist. Otherwise it's a stupid question.
  • All of them
  • It's a rather illogical question, as non-entities have no characteristics. +2
  • Moonbeam
  • No god at all.
  • Oops again.
  • No, Thomas Paine had no super-powers nor does he fit the other comic book requirements to fit into the category of superhero. He was a hero. But you have proven you do not know meaning of some words- Define atheists. Why won't you explain the Catch-22 connection?
  • ...er...any kind... Well, more specifically I don't believe any of the ones we've ever had or have are real, extant beings separate from our own existence. ie: gods are real for a certain value of 'real'. They were created by us, influence our behaviour, provide various things to us, require various things from us and so on - but they are real like Santa. Everyone knows what Santa looks like, where he lives, what he does and so on. Kids will alter their behaviour based on expectations from Santa - but everyone knows Santa is not "really" real.
  • Any kind of god you can come up with.
  • i can not believe in any sentient supernatural being. i can believe in the god of pantheism. http://www.pantheism.net/
  • I can define all those words, I am asking for your definition. I have stated previous that I want your definition in order to clarify your question and statements. I already understand you meant it as a joke, I don't see the joke which is why I have asked you to explain it but you refuse to. You only give a cryptic Catch-22(done in a fake Italian accent.) So why won't you? I am not trying to save face, I want to understand what the joke is.
  • I don't not believe in only one god; I don't belief in any gods; of all the kinds.
  • i dont believe in your god.
  • oops yet again
  • An interesting question. I would say that the kind of god I don't beleive in is any god made up by someone to worship. Since they are the ones making them up they are the ones who are setting the parameters for their god/gods. Oh and it's not the easter bunny but the easter beagle!
  • Any of them, or any being with the characteristics typically attributed to God(s).
  • A non-existent one.
  • I do, but I am requesting information you have.
  • Atheist means without divinity. So wouldn't you think that means atheists don't believe in anything divine?
  • The clarification is not there, that why I ask my questions.
  • The one who allows "One Hammer Three Guys".
  • What is the Catch-22 connection?
  • All of them.
  • errr... the godly kind ?
  • The one with the big, white beard, that sits up in Heavensville, accompanied by his 16 nubile Virgin wives and 2 withered pet goats.
  • For many atheists, faith is the issue. We don't believe in anything for which we have no evidence. So I don't believe in any god for which I have no evidence.
    • we are dough 68
What about all that great evidence in the Bible ?
  • All of them ever invented by priests to use to con people and to control them.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
All of them does not include Christians. The term priest is found in the Old Testament. It is the designation which is commonly referred to an official who approached God or gods in the case of paganism.
  • All types of gods are just imaginary. There are millions of them in fantasy but none in reality.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Quote: "There are millions of them in fantasy but none in reality." The reality is: the Bible talks about prophecy. There is a mounting case of evidence that substantiates the perfect truthfulness of the Word of God. No other religious books in the world are doing this. Only a Supreme Deity foreordained everything.
  • Atheists are only concerned about the God of the Bible. They claim He doesn't exist so they can get away with doing what is contrary to God's nature. Ephesians 5:10-12 "Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret."
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
"They claim He doesn't exist so they can get away with doing what is contrary to God's nature." Huh?
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
My answer is symbolic. Doing what is contrary to God involves wicked deeds. John 3:18-20 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
I think I understand what you are saying. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are saying that it is easier for people to believe God does not exist, because it is easier for those people to live in a world without the rules that would condemn them for the way they would normally behave.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Atheists are in need of psychological treatment. They are not concerned about any other gods, but one God in particular who judges them by their conscience. The only way they can find peace among themselves is to deny what "actually" condemns them.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
"Atheists are in need of psychological treatment." That's ridiculous.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Either you are with them or against them.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
That's the classic false dilemma fallacy.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Defending them does not prove your point.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
You were the one who made a claim. I disagreed. Stating that there is a fault in your logic neither defends the people you attacked, nor makes any independent point.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
You don't have an argument to disagree. Despite increasing literature discussing religious views, scholarly discussions against Atheism in the counseling field has been found that atheists are in need of therapy. Christianity and Atheism differ a lot. A Christian is about living life to his or her fullest, while an atheist does not know how to handle depression and anxiety. Usually atheists dislike their existence. They won't tell you how unhappy they are. It leaves them with no choice but to get stuck on a God that represents life.
  • I do not see any actual evidence for any sort of gods.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
There is actual evidence for the existence of the universe. The fact is that none of us were there when the universe came into being, so technically, none of us can know what happened, as well as how a God came into existence.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
"There is actual evidence for the existence of the universe." You don't say? I think that's one thing that you, I, and ReiSan could agree on, maybe. As for the fact that no one was there when the universe was created, and the conclusion that no one can know what happened - I don't see how that helps prove the existence of God any better than it proves the existence of bigfoot. The thing about the big bang, though, is that there is still background radiation from it, and there are reflections of the early universe in what we can see from very far away. There are also interesting things going on with the way matter interacts from a distance that tells us information. None if it says "Hey, this is exactly what happened," but the pieces of the puzzle are interesting and we can make a pretty good guess about what happened going back to the big bang, although we know absolutely nothing about what might have happened before that, or even if time, as we know it, existed.
    • ReiSan
The Universe exists, but gods do not exist.. What a confused person we have who says there is no actual evidence of the universe. Such a person will do anything however evil and illogical to feebly uphold her beliefs.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
bostjan64, quote: "I don't see how that helps prove the existence of God any better than it proves the existence of bigfoot." But bigfoot never prophesied. The Bible was written over a span of 1500 years by 40 writers. Unlike other religious writings, the Bible reads as a factual news account of real events, places, people, and dialogue. Historians and archaeologists have repeatedly confirmed its authenticity.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
ReiSan, quote: "The Universe exists, but gods do not exist.." You cannot prove how the universe came to be inasmuch as you cannot disprove the existence of a God.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
I think you were misled. Many of the historical claims of the Bible do not agree with archeological findings. http://www.bibleinterp.com/articles/moore1357926.shtml
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
bostjan64, the link you added is based on slander. It does not disprove any biblical finds or statements. Here is a link by "honest" archaeologists: https://factsandtrends.net/2019/01/03/10-exciting-discoveries-in-biblical-archaeological-in-2018/
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
bostjan64, BTW, it looks like you were misled. Your link going back to April 2010 is outdated. Too funny!
    • Texasescimo
Well at least some admit the universe exist. Of course it should not based on what scientist know, yet it does. https://cosmosmagazine.com/physics/universe-shouldn-t-exist-cern-physicists-conclude https://www.newsweek.com/universe-should-not-exist-cern-scientists-discover-692500 THE UNIVERSE SHOULD NOT ACTUALLY EXIST, CERN SCIENTISTS DISCOVER
  • Atheists do not believe in a God. Atheist means - without a belief in God, agnostic means without knowledge of God. Most atheists are also agnostic.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
That's what they all say outwardly, but inwardly atheism is linked to mental illness. Atheists believe in the God that does not allow them to rest every time they talk about Him.
  • Atheist, agnostic, pan or whatever.. Labels are only that, a label. One is either lost or saved. Some ask "what am I needing to be saved from?" the obvious answer is eternal death after the Holy Spirit leaves at the moment the unbeliever dies.
    • ReiSan
I do not need saving. That is an imaginary cure for an imaginary disease. Death is eternal, and wishing for eternal life does not make it exist.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
ReiSan, you can't be certain about an afterlife. Just like everybody has faith whether they are religious or not, biblical hope is built on confidence.
  • they dont believe in any kind of god
