I'm a guy, but I think women tend to be more foregiving. Just my two cents worth.

Women are more forgiving without a doubt, but they still always are suspicious after such a thing, and with good reason.

women, may reasons could apply. Maybe she has three kids and no job and HAS to stay with the cheater. Then again, many times, a womans love is on a much deeper (more naive) level and she honestly believes that the cheater loves her and wont do it again. On the flip side, a blow to a mans pride is the deepest hurt you can inflict on him, and will probaly be less forgivable in his own mind. I think BOTH should use extreme caution in forgiving this deliberate and selfish act against them.

I would like to say women because of the possiblity of children. Without children or marriage I'd say the guy more often! +4pts.

I think it all depends on the situation to why one or the other was unfaithful. I personally am not very forgiving and I'm very spiteful. But that is just me. Other women could be much different.

Women, because we are nurturers. We can forgive...maybe, not forget.

There's huge variation in both groups. I can't rightly say what the tendency is, but whichever way it goes, the difference between individual men or women is far greater than the difference between men and women on average.

I'm with the majority ... women are. Unfortunately, women STILL bear the brunt of child-raising, leaving them more afraid to try and "strike out on their own" with kids in tow. Even tho' it's gotten some better, I think most women STILL make less money, leaving them fewer options for leaving. There is STILL a problem (in many cases), with "dead-beat" Dads NOT paying their court ordered child support, to the Mom, leaving her and the kids VERY short on cash. Many reasons. But, also, I believe women are just generally, more forgiving in nature ... and they tend to want to try and make their marriages more successful. Unfortunately, most MEN I know ... would boot their wife (or s/o) out in a heartbeat, if they found out she had cheated. Most of them wouldn't even try.

Women are more forgiving because they have a soft and sensitive side. Although. I'm sure there are men out there that love their wives and still want to stay with them depsite the fact that they were unfaithful.

Recently in one of my uni assignments I had to look up the statistics for divorce...women are the ones who ask for divorce more than men...so maybe that means women may not be so forgiving as men...these stats were from ABS...which is Australian...The ststs could also be saying that men may 'cheat' or do shitty things more...so women are the ones who leave the relationship more often than men...
