  • This is from MixedFolks.com (http://www.mixedfolks.com/actors.htm): According to a BET article on him, "He doesn't like to get too specific about his background. He's Italian and a lot of other things" One of his fan clubs says, "His father is black. His mother is Irish, and he's also got some Dominican, Mexican, German and Italian thrown in." It seems that nobody knows for sure. He does admit that he is multiracial though.
  • He is Mark Vincent Diesel. His nationality is Italian. I watched an episode of Regis and Kelly and he was a guest. I know I'm one of those women who is not going to budge an inch when he is on the tv.
  • Vin Diesel is so obviously not 100% italian......if you think he looks 100% italian....i think you need glasses. he is a perfect mix of black and italian/irish/german/dominican.
  • He is not pure italian. Have you seen his breakdance video when he was younger??? He had a FRO! Must be the black coming out. No wonder he shaves, dont worry Vin youre still fine!
  • American, Nationality refers to which country you belong to. He's not Italian because he would have been born there or have claim to an Italian passport. If you mean race, then say so.
  • he is no one nationality, he is multi cultural.. whatever they are...he sure did turn out good, didn't he? yum
  • Mark Sinclair Vincent: "I am definitely a person of color." - regarding his mysterious ethnicity
  • omg bitches...hes Puerto Rican like me..!!
  • Vin was born on 18 July 1967, New York, New York, USA, so his nationality is American. As for his ethnicity, his real name is Mark Sinclair Vincent , but he did not know his real father. Vin does not talk much about his childhood or personal life, so most of what goes around about him is guesswork.Having an ambiguous look ethnically has opened up roles for him, from Italian to Puerto Rican. He may have some of this blood in him, but either he doesn't know, or he is not letting on.
  • Here in Puerto Rico we call people like him "jabao" (pronounced "habao" in English). They are mixes of black with other ethnicities. In his case that mix is a blessing because he can play lots of different roles and nationalities. Something like a new Cesar Romero!
  • From his features you can be sure he is mixed I'm mixed and from the looks of it he may have some Italian but to the point i think he May have Haitian in there from his name especially his features. He looks very much like Dominican or Puerto Rican. Witch is basically Haitian mixed with native American and or Spanish
  • his accent is german so really i believe he is and for another fact he is not black. his tone of voice the way it sounds sounds a bit like my grandmothers voice so i say if he has other nationalities hes taken more of the german appearance than anything. but that doesnt matter because im a van or vin diesel which ever one is truely muscle man regardless they are both great actors and i have enjoyed everyone of their movies. and always look forward to watching his new movies . one day i wish to marry him .
  • American "Vin Diesel (born Mark Sinclair Vincent on July 18, 1967) is an American actor, writer, director, and producer. While he prefers to identify himself as "multicultural" he has played a number of similar roles, as a result of early difficulties finding roles due to his very mixed heritage. He founded the production companies One Race Films, Tigon Studios, and Racetrack Records" "Vin Diesel was born Mark Sinclair Vincent in New York City, the son of Delora, a psychiatrist and astrologer. Diesel has Italian and African American ancestry. He has described himself as "definitely a person of color" and stated that he is "of ambiguous ethnicity - Italian and a lot of other stuff". Diesel has never met his biological father, and was raised by his African-American stepfather, Irving, an acting instructor and theatre manager." • Date of Birth 18 July 1967, New York, New York, USA He's American.
  • I read that he was brought up by black parents but they werent his real parents and that he is Italin not black
  • who cares he is hot no matter what race he is
  • American. Christ, how can someone say he's Italian, he doesn't speak Italian to the extent of my knowledge, he probably never even lived in Italy. Your NATIONALITY is the country you claim to be yours, and the country claiming that you belong to that country. Hell, he can even have an Italian citizenship, but that's not his nationality. That's someone's HERITAGE we're talking about. TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS!!!
  • Who cares, almost no one can truly say that they are of one race. With slavery and all of the things that our ancestors did I think that every one just about has a a little dap of something different in them. I am black but I get mistaken for hispanic or Indian sometimes. What ever color he is I have to say it looks good on him.
  • He is definitely American, having been born there.
  • He has Italian and black ancestry
