  • There are alot of songs I had for years before I listened to them in the right mood for them. Then suddenly I realize the lyrics are brilliant. Right now "The Wallflowers - Everything I need" does the trick, it reminds me of what I have already achieved in life, at moments when I'm uncertain of the future.

  • I'm starting with the man in the mirror....
  • The first verse in the song by Keith Urban "Tonight I wanna cry". Alone in this house again tonight I got the TV on, the sound turned down and a bottle of wine There's pictures of you and I on the walls around me The way that it was and could have been surrounds me I'll never get over you walkin' away The night my now ex girlfriend let me know we were through I heard this song. I had my TV on and the sound turn down when she told me over the phone. I was pretty much in shock because the break-up was out of the blue. I looked around the room and seen all these pictures of us together. Today after so much time has passed I still can not listen to that song without crying my eyes out.
  • I really got to hand it to ya 'Cause girl you really tried But for every time that we spent laughin' There were two times that I cried And you were tryin' to make me your martyr And that's the one thing I just couldn't do 'Cause baby, I can't hang upon no lover's cross for you
  • The song "Sister Moon" by Sting My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun My hunger for her explains everything I've done To howl at the moon the whole night through And they really don't care if I do I'd go out of my mind, but for you Sister Moon That's only part of the song, but the lyrics are brilliant he described it as "A song for lunatics everywhere, for all of those whose sanity is dependent on the phases of the moon." This was a song that I liked in high school where I had this crush on this girl and would always think of her when I heard it,unfortunately things didn't work out between me and her,but it's a nice song none the less.:)
  • I have always loved "Your Song" by Elton I hope you don't mind that I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world
  • this song says it all; Lyrics to Face For The Radio : You have a face for the radio, But I know you’d like to see it in a show, Claiming to be the next best everything, Which way will you go? You’re a little smarter than most of us, You run so fast sometimes it’s hard to see you for dust, Finding some time for you, it tortures me, Which way will you go? Wages on a Friday, Spent on a Saturday, Lend me a fiver, Won’t do that again, Oh your trust is not to strong. Your arrogance in a bag, Won’t spare you a fag, Superstar wannabe, Says it comes naturally, Cemented in your own feeble way, He watches trainspotting, fifteen times a week, Thinking it’s making him oh so unique, PC on summer nights and football in the rain, Doesn’t matter how far he is, He always has money for the train Nothing against you, love in my heart, You’re really a nice lad, I’ve known it from the start, Your conscience in eager, to know where you lie, Pushing your limits, give it up and remember you can cry. Wages on a Friday, Spent on a Saturday, Lend me a tenner, Won’t do that again, Oh your trust is not to strong. You’re arrogance in a bag, Won’t spare you a fag, Superstar wannabe, Says it comes naturally, in your own feeble way
  • Many songs have struck me with lyrics I will share just one. And it is only the version with Peggy Lee singing because her inflection and her pauses convey the indifference of the lyrics beautifully. The Song " Is That All There Is ? " In one verse she sings of falling in love, 'taking walks in the park,' etc . . " . . then one day, he went away. And I thought I'd die - but I didn't. " Those two short sentences cut to the core of the dynamics of 'the end' of a relationship and move me much more than if Peggy had gone on and on about her pain and her crying and 'Do I call him again?' and 'Is he seeing someone else?' blahblahblah of most songs. +5
  • Thank you for loving me, for being my eyes when I couldn't see. You parted my lips when I couldn't breathe. Thank you for loving me, when I couldn't fly, you gave me wings. You parted my lips when I couldn't breathe. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving me. For loving me. Bon Jovi - Thank you for loving me and the reason it hits me so hard is I play it at the cemetary for my Dad and I lost him on 9/11. Those lines pretty much sum up our relationship. +5
  • Not just a fragment but the whole song; Nina Simone - Strange Fruit, why, its the mix of the poem and the voice. Seven trees Bearin strange fruit Blood on the leaves And blood at the roots Black bodies Swinging in the southern breeze Strange fruit hangin From the poplar trees Pastoral scene Of the gallant south Them big bulging eyes And the twisted mouth Scent of magnolia Clean and fresh Then the sudden smell Of burnin flesh Here is a fruit For the crows to pluck For the rain to gather For the wind to suck For the sun to rot For the leaves to drop Here is Strange and bitter crop

I envied her - she seemed so gay - and wished I were as fair. But suddenly she rose to leave. I saw her hobble down the isle, she had only one leg and wore a crutch, but as she passed, a smile… Oh, God forgive me when I whine, I have two legs, the world is mine. I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold them had such charm. I stopped to talk to him, he seemed so glad - if I was late could do no harm. As I left he said to me, “I thank-you, you had been so kind. It’s nice to talk to folks like you, you see,” he said, “I am blind.” Oh, God forgive me when I whine, I have two eyes, the world is mine. Later while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue. He stood and watched the others play, he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and said, “Why don’t you join the others, dear?” He looked ahead without a word and then I knew, he couldn’t hear. Oh, God forgive me when I whine, I have two ears, the world is mine. With feet to take me where I go, with eyes to see the sun-set glow, with ears to hear what I would know. Oh, God forgive me when I whine, I am blessed indeed, the world is mine! Oh btw for some reason or other i love pretty boy by m2m and girlfriend by avril...
  • mine iz why by Nichole Nordman My precious Son, I hear them screaming. I’m watching the face of the enemy beaming but soon I will clothe you in robes of my own. Jesus this hurts me more than you know But this dark hour I must do nothing. I’ve heard your unbearable cry—the power in your blood destroys all the lies, soon you’ll see past their unmerciful eyes. Look there below see the child trembling by her father’s side. Now I can tell you why, she is why you must die. I have another 1 it is mighty to save by hillsong Saviour, He can move the mountains My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save Forever, author of Salvation He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave Saviour, He can move the mountains My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save Forever, author of Salvation He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave
