I'm not sure. I do know that there's a danger to putting ice cubes up your butt, which is that it can drop your temperature too fast and cause shock. But I've used a little ice at a time and that's no problem (just make sure there aren't sharp edges on the ice cubes)--the feeling is VERY intense and I like it. I saw Julie Knight put a LOT of ice up her ass in a movie.
