    Good Lord no. It was the cheesiest decade of the twentieth century. Clothes were made of polyvinylchloride. Disco was king. Love Boat and Donnie and Marie were the top TV programs. Everyone was faithless and making excuses for being horrible to each because they had to be "FREE" and "ME." The drug culture was celebrated, which was fun for some for awhile--but the hangover was really really bad. We had Nixon and Watergate and the dregs of the Viet Nam War. The good things? Feminism, the dawn of punk rock and the some of the best movies ever made.
