  • Don't worry about armaggeddon so much. The Bible says that 2/3 of the people will have died by that point anyway, with mostly just the big world armies duking it out in the valley of megiddo. The rapture is the thing to consider. And no one knows when that is. The Bible implies that, and I know It front to back, and it does not say any specific date. You don't have to be left behind. I won't be and I don't want you to be.
  • Nope. TEOTWAWKI has been predicted many times for similarly cosmic goofball reasons. I remember the brouhaha over the "great cosmic alignment of the planets" in the 1980's when all 9 planets in our star system were lined up one behind the other, from Mercury to Pluto. It was predicted by the Tinfoil Hat Brigade, in consultation with the Tree Hugger Guild and the Holistic Whole Planet Coffee Klatch, that some sort of gravity wave would be created by planets Mars through Pluto. This wave was supposed to strike the Earth and tear it apart. Didn't happen and the cosmic fruitcake 2021 clan is spinning their wheels.
  • No. Folks have been cryin' "The sky is fallin'!" for millenia! ;-)
  • it's not armageddon. Armageddon is the final war, After the 7 years of tribulation. The 7 years of tribulation is going to start when the peace treaty between Israel and the government of the antichrist is signed. It might be a cataclysmic event, but it's absolutely not armageddon. For Example, if the Israeli / antichrist government peace treaty is signed today (2009), then there's still 7 years to go to (2016). The antichrist is supposed to be an individual so well loved, who will bring a (deceptive) peace to manking, and supposedly usher in a new age of world peace. He will deceive the world into thinking that he's good when in fact he is evil. I believe that 2012 is either some kind of major cataclysmic event, or the start of a devastating world war. A war so horrible that it what have seemed like the end of the world to ancient cultures.
  • 2012 ends one cycle of the life of the planet according to Mayan beliefs. What the alarmists always fail to mention is the a new cycle begins the very next morning. This was happening with out any knowledge of Jesus, Armageddon, Christianity etc etc The end times have been 'predicted' well over 200 times since Christianity began. With clams from everything from Haley's Comet to the new millennium as the 'signs'. This list has been composed by a theology group in Canada http://www.bible.ca/pre-date-setters.htm
  • Nah. I dont. I just take life as it comes. I dont really believe in that mumbo jumbo. =]
  • nonsense.
  • Nothing happened in two thousand one. Computers kept working, there were no funny lights in the sky... In 2013 the next doomsday date will be rolled up. And so on and on.
  • Because the whole thing is as tutti frutti as James Jones' kool-aid.
  • If it comes it comes, not much we can do about it, so live life like you have always done. I am far to busy to be worrying about the end, because the end is a inevitable fact for everyone, sooner or later.
  • No, not armageddon or the end of the world, but it could be the ushering in of the one spoken of as the anti-christ. Someone whom is very chrismatic and popular,a very smooth talker and speech maker; whom many believe in and very popular within certain groups. Dose this sound familiar to anyone? About 3 1/2 yrs. after being elected to office? Ahh that little horn or Daniel.
