Theoretically, it is possible to have a fear of light bulbs, albeit there is very little chance of having it. There is greater chance of having photophobia, the fear of light, which also may not exist. Although no case was ever reported, it is quite possible for someone to have a fear of light bulbs.

Although I heard this on "Corner Gas" (a Canadian sitcom), they think that fear of lightbulbs is "Globophobia"

there is a light phobia, to were your not afraid of the bulb or bulbs them self's, but it's a disorder that can cause mild seizure, high anxiety. I for one have that problem and only way for it to dissipate is to leave the area and get natural lighting or dark sun glasses there isn't any place I can walk into that it doesn't affect me hard. more so where there are florescent lights, like the food stores home depot sect. I had told my doc about it one time and excused my self for wearing glasses while in exam room but after he stepped out I took em off just so he sees how the affects hit me when he came back in the room he was dumfounded when he came back in on how bad such a thing can really happen. BP claims up as well.only info I could seem to find was a study with people in prison can suffers from the effects after being in Flores lighting for years. but mine came from job related and having a recd room in the batsmen with florae lighting for many years. hope this is of some help. try dark color shades see if that tones it down for you or stops it completely.
